I’ve talked about mono-tasking and multi-tasking, and in it I mention how when we multi-task what we’re actually doing is ‘task-switching’. Our brain can’t do two tasks at once, even though we feel like we are. What instead actually happens is we do both tasks, but with less attention to them.
